Dear Friends,
Did you know that in Benin, West Africa:
44.7% of the population is between the ages of 0-14yrs old. The Life expectancy is only 59 years old and only 37% of the population over 15 can read and write.
When I’m asked why we should care about what happens in Benin, I think about my own life story. Incase you did not know I am a child of adoption. I am thankful everyday for the family that I have and am very blessed for the opportunities that have been given to me. However my story could have been very different if I was not adopted by two loving parents and given a chance at a better life.
This is what my friend is trying to do at www.buildabetterbenin.org, help children get a better life. The goal is to build an orphanage in a village in Benin, West Africa. Because of orphanages being built in Benin, children are given a chance, for safety, security, and the chance for an education. I was given a chance at a better life and think that these kids deserve the same opportunity.
This year, I have the goal of raising money to help build an orphanage in Benin through my friend who started buildabetterbenin.org. Please consider helping her give the children of Benin a brighter future! After all, investing in one child, is investing in an entire community. Please visit www.buildabetterbenin.org and see the story of a true miracle worker and click Donate Today in the right hand corner to help!
I thank you all and would like to remind you that even the smallest amount will help!
Sincerely,
Mr. Blyth
